Terms of Use

The agreement between you and Zappsco Ltd governing your use of the Drink Time mobile application.

Last updated: August 21, 2026

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) are an agreement between you and Zappsco Ltd (“we”, “us”) governing your use of the Drink Time mobile app for iOS and Android (app identifier com.zappsco.drinktime).

Please read them carefully. Drink Time is a wellness and habit-tracking app. It is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice — see §11.

1. Acceptance of These Terms

By downloading, installing, or using Drink Time, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

If you use Drink Time on an Apple device, these Terms are between you and us — not Apple. Apple is not responsible for the app or its content. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you. The same applies to Google for installs from Google Play.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use Drink Time. The app’s personalization only supports ages 13 and above. By using the app you confirm that you meet this requirement and that you are able to enter into a binding agreement.

3. Your Account

An account is optional for tracking water locally, and required to purchase or restore a subscription and to back up or sync your data.

You can create an account with an email address and password, or sign in with Google or Sign in with Apple. You agree to:

  • Provide accurate information
  • Keep your credentials confidential
  • Be responsible for all activity under your account
  • Notify us promptly at hello@zappsco.com if you suspect unauthorized use

Signing out clears your account-scoped data from that device; your cloud data remains available when you sign back in. You can delete your account at any time from Settings → Account → Delete account — see §16.

4. Using the App

Drink Time lets you:

  • Receive a recommended starting daily hydration goal, calculated from the age, sex, weight, activity, exercise, and environment details you enter
  • Log water with one-tap presets, custom containers, or a custom amount, and edit or delete any entry from the daily timeline
  • Set your own goal manually, overriding the recommendation at any time
  • Track progress, history, calendar days, streaks, consistency, and insights computed from what you actually logged
  • Schedule reminders at times you choose
  • Optionally block distracting apps during a reminder window

Your hydration goal is a starting recommendation, not a prescription, and you remain free to change it. Analytics and insights in the app are calculated from your own logged entries only — the app never estimates or invents intake you did not record.

The app is designed to work offline. Cloud backup, sync, purchases, and restore require an internet connection.

5. Reminders and Notifications

Reminders are local notifications scheduled on your device. You choose every reminder time, and the app will not create or silently change a reminder time on its own. Reminder wording may reflect your current progress.

Notification delivery depends on your device and its operating system. Battery optimization, focus modes, quiet hours, permission changes, force-quitting the app, and OS limits on the number of scheduled notifications can all delay or prevent a reminder. We cannot guarantee that any particular reminder will be delivered, and you should not rely on Drink Time as your only prompt to drink water.

You can disable reminders in the app or revoke the notification permission in your device settings at any time.

6. App Blocking (Focus)

App blocking is an optional feature. If you enable it, apps you select become temporarily unavailable during a blocking window that starts when a reminder fires, until you confirm you have had some water or the window expires.

To use it you must grant a system-level permission: Screen Time / Family Controls on iOS, or an Accessibility Service on Android. You can revoke either permission at any time in your device settings, which disables the feature.

You acknowledge that:

  • Blocking is enforced by your operating system’s own mechanisms and is not guaranteed to block every app in every situation. Platform behaviour, OS updates, permission revocation, and device restarts can all affect it.
  • You are responsible for which apps you choose to block. Do not block apps you may need in an emergency, including your phone dialer, messaging, or medical apps.
  • Drink Time does not see what you do inside blocked apps. On iOS, the platform does not disclose your selection to us at all; on Android, the matching happens entirely on your device.
  • The feature must not be used to restrict another person’s device without their knowledge and consent.

7. Subscriptions and Premium Access

Access to Drink Time is offered through a paid subscription or a one-time purchase, sold through the App Store or Google Play and managed with RevenueCat. You will be asked to sign in before purchasing so that your access follows your account.

7.1 Plans

Three options are presented in the app:

PlanTypeRenewal
MonthlyAuto-renewing subscriptionRenews every month
YearlyAuto-renewing subscription, offered with an introductory free trialRenews every year
LifetimeOne-time purchaseDoes not renew

7.2 Pricing

Prices are shown in the app at the time of purchase, in your local currency, as reported by the App Store or Google Play. Prices vary by region and may change. The exact price, the renewal period, the trial length (if any), and the fact that a plan auto-renews are all disclosed on the purchase screen before you confirm. The amount charged is always the amount shown by the store at the moment you purchase.

7.3 Free trial

Where a free trial is offered, its length is the one shown on the purchase screen for that plan; the app takes this from the store’s own introductory offer. Trial eligibility is determined by Apple or Google, not by us — for example, if you have already used a trial for this app, you may not be offered another.

Unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends, the trial converts automatically into a paid subscription at the price shown, and your account is charged.

7.4 Auto-renewal

Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period. Your account is charged within 24 hours before the current period ends, unless you cancel first. Renewal continues until you cancel.

7.5 Cancellation

You cancel a subscription through your store account, not inside Drink Time:

  • iOS: Settings → your name → Subscriptions
  • Android: Google Play → Menu → Subscriptions

Cancel at least 24 hours before the current period (or trial) ends to avoid the next charge. After cancelling, you keep access until the end of the period you have already paid for. Deleting your Drink Time account does not cancel your subscription.

7.6 Refunds

Purchases are processed by Apple and Google, and refunds are handled by them under their own policies. We cannot issue refunds or cancel a store subscription on your behalf. Request a refund through Apple (reportaproblem.apple.com) or through Google Play.

7.7 Restoring purchases and promo codes

You can restore a previous purchase from the paywall or from Settings → Subscription → Restore purchases. Restoring requires signing in to the same Drink Time account, using the same App Store or Google Play account you purchased with.

On iOS, offer codes are redeemed through Apple’s own redemption sheet; we neither issue nor validate codes ourselves, and eligibility, expiry, and already-redeemed codes are all determined by Apple. Google Play promo codes are redeemed in the Play Store app.

8. Your Data

You own the hydration data you record. We handle it as described in the Privacy Policy.

In short: your data is stored on your device, and additionally in Firebase (Google Cloud) if you sign in, so it can be restored on another device. You can edit or delete individual entries in the app, and delete everything by deleting your account.

You are responsible for maintaining your own copies of anything you consider important. Cloud synchronization is provided on a best-effort basis and is not a guaranteed backup service. Sync can fail because of network conditions, platform outages, or account issues, and data may be lost if a device is lost, reset, or the app is uninstalled while signed out.

When you sign in on a device that already holds local data while your account also holds cloud data, the app asks you which copy to keep. The copy you do not choose is overwritten. Please read that prompt carefully.

9. Intellectual Property

Drink Time, including its software, design, visual assets, text, and branding, is owned by Zappsco Ltd and its licensors and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws.

Subject to these Terms, we grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the app on devices you own or control, for your own non-commercial use, as permitted by the App Store or Google Play terms.

You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, lease, reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the app, except to the extent that applicable law expressly permits it.

10. Third-Party Services

Drink Time relies on third-party services to function: Firebase Authentication and Cloud Firestore (Google) for accounts and sync, RevenueCat for subscription management, Sign in with Apple and Google Sign-In for authentication, and the App Store and Google Play for payments.

Your use of those services is also governed by their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for their availability, performance, or actions. An outage at one of these providers may make sign-in, sync, or purchases temporarily unavailable.

11. Health and Medical Disclaimer

Drink Time is a wellness and habit-tracking app. It is not a medical device. It does not diagnose, treat, cure, prevent, or monitor any disease or medical condition, and it does not provide medical advice.

  • The daily goal the app calculates is a general, non-medical starting recommendation produced by a fixed formula from the details you enter. It is not a clinical assessment and is not personalized medical guidance.
  • Individual hydration needs vary and can be affected by medical conditions, medications, pregnancy, breastfeeding, kidney or heart conditions, and other factors the app does not evaluate.
  • Drinking too much water can be dangerous. Excessive water intake can cause serious harm, including hyponatremia.
  • Always consult a qualified physician or other healthcare professional before making significant changes to your fluid intake, and follow their advice over anything shown in this app.
  • Never disregard professional medical advice, or delay seeking it, because of something you saw in Drink Time.
  • If you believe you are experiencing a medical emergency, contact your local emergency services immediately.

You use Drink Time and any goal it suggests at your own risk.

12. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the app for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms
  • Interfere with, disrupt, or overload the app or the services behind it
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any account, server, or data, including another user’s cloud data
  • Circumvent, disable, or tamper with the paywall, subscription checks, entitlement verification, or any security mechanism
  • Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the app except where the law allows it
  • Create accounts by automated means, or use the app to send spam or malware
  • Use the app’s blocking feature to control another person’s device without their informed consent
  • Resell, sublicense, or commercially redistribute the app or access to it

13. Service Availability and Changes

We may add, change, suspend, or remove features at any time, and we may release updates that are required for the app to keep working. We do not guarantee that the app or its cloud services will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free.

We may also stop offering the app or any part of it. If we discontinue the service entirely, we will make reasonable efforts to notify you in advance so you can retrieve your data.

14. Disclaimer of Warranties

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Drink Time is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement.

We do not warrant that the app will meet your requirements, that reminders will always be delivered, that blocking will always work, that your data will always sync or be recoverable, or that defects will be corrected.

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

15. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Zappsco Ltd and its officers, employees, and suppliers will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data, goodwill, or health outcomes, arising out of or related to your use of — or inability to use — Drink Time, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total aggregate liability for all claims relating to the app is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us for the app in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) USD 50.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

16. Termination

You may stop using Drink Time at any time by deleting the app, and you may delete your account from Settings → Account → Delete account. Deleting your account permanently removes your hydration history, goal, streak, and settings from your device and from our servers, and cannot be undone.

Note that:

  • Deleting your account does not cancel your subscription and does not entitle you to a refund — cancel through the App Store or Google Play (§7.5).
  • If you signed in with Apple, you can additionally revoke the app from your Apple ID in Settings → your name → Sign-In & Security → Sign in with Apple.

We may suspend or terminate your access if you materially breach these Terms, if required by law, or if providing the service to you becomes impracticable. Sections that by their nature should survive termination — including §8, §9, §11, §14, §15, and §17 — will continue to apply.

17. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of [JURISDICTION — to be completed by Zappsco], without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the app will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of [JURISDICTION — to be completed by Zappsco], unless mandatory consumer-protection law in your country of residence gives you the right to bring proceedings elsewhere.

Before starting formal proceedings, please contact us at hello@zappsco.com so we can try to resolve the matter directly.

18. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms as the app evolves. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above and publish the new version at the same URL, which is linked from the app’s Settings screen and from the purchase screen. Material changes will be communicated in the app where appropriate. Continuing to use Drink Time after an update means you accept the revised Terms. If you do not accept them, stop using the app and delete your account.

19. General

  • Entire agreement. These Terms and the Privacy Policy are the entire agreement between you and us regarding Drink Time.
  • Severability. If any provision is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect.
  • No waiver. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of it.
  • Assignment. You may not assign these Terms. We may assign them in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
